Born in 1944, at Gopalganj Village in the district Faridpur, now in Bangladesh in a Namasudra peasant family. He did M.Com and joined IRS, served as Secretary of Bangla Dalit Sahitya Sanstha and still serving as the editor of “Chaturtha Dunia’ journal.
